Steve Hollingshead was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Laing O'Rourke Australia in  2011 and is a member of the Australia Hub Executive Board. He previously held the role of Managing Director, Infrastructure Services in Europe since 2009, with executive responsibility for the portfolio of businesses including Expanded, Infrastructure, Select Plant Hire and Explore Manufacturing.

An experienced civil engineer, Steve joined R. O'Rourke & Son Ltd in 1989 as a project manager and has held a number of senior positions in the Group over the last 20 years. He was a senior member of the acquisition team that undertook the due diligence review on the Laing Construction business resulting in the O'Rourke Group's acquisition of the company in October 2001, helping establish Laing O'Rourke as an international engineering and construction solution provider.
